Heart valves are thin tissues separating the atria in the heart ventricles (left: mitral valve, right: tricuspid valve) or between the ventricles of large arteries that leave (left: the aorta, right: the pulmonary artery). Valve disease is the damage these valves: strictures, leaks, isolated or associated congenital anomalies. Their severity, vary greatly, appreciated by the echocardiogram.
